British
Food Fortnight 2004
18th September
- 3rd October
|
The focus for this year's
British Food Fortnight
is consumer education - i.e. learning about
food. Learning about the diverse and delicious range of food available in Britain.
Learning about the health benefits and
the pleasures of eating quality, fresh, seasonal and
regional produce.

To celebrate British Food Fortnight, the
Chadwick Family would like to invite you
to the following ::
Behind The Scenes Tour
Monday 20th and
27th September
Tuesday 21st
and 28th September
Wednesday 22nd
and 29th September
You will be guided around our site and your tour will
include a visit to the abattoir. For many people this is
the most interesting part of their trip behind the scenes.
On Mondays and Tuesdays, the abattoir is not
working. However, those who take the tour with us on
Wednesdays will, if they so wish, have the opportunity to
view the slaughterhouse in operation!
Visitors who do not wish to visit the abattoir
will move on to the next stage of the tour.
For safety reasons, places are strictly limited
- so contact us
now and book immediately to avoid disappointment.

Throughout the fortnight, there will be opportunities to sample
English cheese including Somerset Brie, Yorkshire Feta
and Garstang Blue.
You can also sample English wine from an award winning vineyard in
Gloucestershire, and Scottish fruit wine
- including the winner of the British Fruit Wine Awards 2003.
And, by popular request, on Saturdays
there is A Taste Of Christmas Preview
- a sneak peek at the festive food available this Christmas
in our shop.
